Night guards help protect your teeth at night if you’re prone to grinding or clenching your teeth. It is not a cure for grinding or clenching but puts a protective layer of plastic between your teeth which can be worn away without causing wear and damage to your teeth; preventing expensive restorative treatment. At Premium Dental Hygiene we offer a range of custom made night guards and retainers created using the latest 3D imaging and printing technology to gain the highest level of clinical accuracy.
Soft Guards
£275 for Upper and Lower
We'll make your custom night guard by taking an impression of your teeth so the guard fits your mouth exactly. Taking into account the way your jaws bite together, we make sure the night guard meets properly with your teeth when you bite down.
The soft guards will be our most comfortable and will generally work for most patients. However, if grinding is severe then a more long lasting durable hard guard might be a better option.
3D Printed Hard Guards & Retainers
£325 for Upper and Lower
We'll make your custom night guard by taking a digital impression of your teeth with a 3D scanner, to gain the highest level of clinical accuracy, so the guard fits your mouth exactly. Taking into account the way your jaws bite together, we make sure the night guard meets properly with your teeth when you bite down.
This time the guard will be hard plastic and will prevent the teeth from moving. This will be the similar to guard called an Essix retainer which is commonly advised after orthodontic treatment. The guard will still be comfortable as it is an exact replica of your teeth but not as comfortable as the soft guard. However, it will be much more durable. Essix Retainers are also available.
3D Printed Hard/Soft Guard
£300 for Upper or Lower
A dual laminate guard which has a cushioned soft inner layer for comfort with a hard outer layer for durability. This is a combination of the guards above and is our most popular guard. Also, created using a digital impression and produced using a 3D printer for the highest level of clinical accuracy.
