Teeth Whitening Treatments

Treatments for a brighter, whiter smiles

Easily the most popular cosmetic dental treatment available today. 96% of adults believe an attractive smile makes a person more appealing. Teeth whitening is an easy and safe way to brighten your teeth by removing internal stains which are caused by everyday substances we subject our teeth to. Common culprits are coffee, tea, red wine and tobacco, but even healthy 'super-foods' such as blueberries can leave their mark on your smile.

We offer three methods...

Home Whitening

£375

Where custom made trays are created from an impression of your teeth. Whitening gel is then placed inside these trays and then worn. The time the trays are worn is dependent on which gel is prescribed and this can vary from 60 minutes to overnight. Generally, a noticeable difference can be achieved by wearing the trays daily for 2 weeks. This is the most controlled method where if a patient wants whiter teeth after 2 weeks the treatment can be continued for a further week or until the patient achieves the tooth colour they desire. After a period of time the colour will fade, commonly after 2-3 years but by using the same trays more gel can be applied to maintain the colour.

In-Chair Whitening

£325

This is an instant method of teeth whitening where the teeth are isolated in the mouth and whitening gel is placed on the teeth. A light is then placed on the teeth for three fifteen minute cycles to speed up the whitening process. Great to whiten teeth under time restraints or for an upcoming special occasion. However, the results don’t tend to last as long as with the Home Whitening treatment and the whole treatment will have to be completed again to maintain the tooth colour.

Combination Whitening

£600

In-chair whitening completed first then followed by Home Whitening to achieve instant long lasting brighter teeth.

Only natural teeth, not restorations, can be whiten and sensitivity may occur during whitening. However, we will inform you of techniques to reduce sensitivity and most patients will not feel any sensitivity at all. Those that do, will find the sensitivity will reduce back to pre-treatment levels within a few days of completing the treatment.
